Bratislava 25.11.2020. The International Conference of Electronic Kazan 2020 on the Danube took place on November 19 – 20, 2020. The aim of the conference was to exchange experiences based on knowledge of the current state in the area of information technology, especially in the educational process, in the international dimension. In their speeches, experts from Slovakia, Switzerland, Canada, the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries presented the situation.
The conference builds on the previous eleven similar events, which have built a tradition of using IT in education. The peculiarity and significance of the course of the conference is justified mainly by the current situation in the changes due to the pandemic. The speakers at the conference dealt mainly with the topics of using the distance method for full-time or part-time education. The current international situation has proved right those professionals who promoted the online distance learning method. A significant contribution of the conference was the information of Professor Štefan Kassay, who acquainted its participants with the possibilities, needs and perspectives of active connection of education, research, science and practice. As a person working in the field of production practice with rich pedagogical experience, he outlined the possibilities of further development in the educational process – by active connection of experts from practice and pedagogical staff. The idea was developed by contributions aimed at expanding international education in the form of a virtual department presented by Dr. Jaroslav Kultan, PhD. The two main ideas found their unification in the proposal to create an International Center of Education (www.intercedu.com).
At the end of the conference, there was a discussion between representatives of several universities from several countries, whose goal was to find a new direction in the development of not only Electronic Kazan, as a certain philosophy of education, but the overall philosophy of changing education in the future. In addition to the already mentioned creation of the International Center of Education (www.intercedu.com), which will serve as a bearer of modern forms of education aimed at actively connecting professionals from practice and the pedagogical environment at the international level. Participants focused on some new directions of education development. Alexander Bojchenko (G. V. Plechanov REU) emphasized the idea of digital economy, pointed out the importance and need for education of experts in the field. The presented idea can become one of the main for the Interced program.
The second main program of Interced, based on mutual interviews, is the idea of providing the results of scientific and research activities of the staff of individual universities to a joint program. These are the results of the basic research in the field of informatization, digitization, changes in the structure of company management (production, social organizations, local authorities and state administration, foundations, etc.) based on a large amount of available data obtained through fifth-generation international computer networks under the common name “Big Data”. In this section, the diversity of the content of large data in different environments was pointed out, which differ not only in their quantity, method of acquisition, but also in their use.
Another direction of joint activities of conference participants and Interced is the creation of large models of basic information structures, e.g. computer networks, data centers, models of private networks, distributed database systems, cloud systems, which will be used for joint training of experts in the field. The requirement to create a model of remote laboratories focused mainly on robotics and the use of smart technologies was also presented. The robotics laboratory will be used to train experts in the field of programming and control of robots for various industrial or social uses. An important aspect of the present is the efficient use of energy, multi-level safety at home and in the workplace, intelligent management in crisis situations and the implementation of relevant solutions. These skills will be possible to research, analyze and teach using the smart laboratory.
Electronic Kazan on the Danube 2020 is an important milestone in the training of professionals based on long-term experience, observations and research using modern educational technologies. Based on the above intentions, we invite specialists from practice, researchers and important educators to cooperate within the created Interced platform in the form of lectures, lessons, comprehensive courses, provided research results, scientific articles and professional publications.
